Steam Crave transforms the new Aromamizer Lite into a pure MTL atomizer

Steam Crave is a historical brand registered in the United States and the European Union for a range of vaping products designed and manufactured in China. Steam Crave is well known among the worldwide vapers for its Aromamizer line atomizers, a particularly innovative range that fully reflects the company’s philosophy. Steam Crave products established themselves over time for their extraordinary ability to guarantee a very realistic and intense aromatic restitution. Today we are dealing with the Aromamizer Lite upgrade, namely Aramamizer Lite V1.5 RTA.
We begin to observe it starting as usual from the contents of the package.

DESIGN AND BUILD QUALITY

Like all Steam Crave products, the Aromamizer Lite V1.5 does not disappoint either from the point of view of design or in terms of build quality. It is worth what we told you last September in the Aromamizer Lite review, given that there is a simple upgrade of the previous atomizer. The product is completely made of stainless steel and has precise and accurate manufacturing, without burrs. Steam Crave is undoubtedly a manufacturers that works with great meticulousness to offer the public productions of undoubted quality. In our opinion, the atomizer is worth far more than the 30-35 euros with which it is offered on the market.

From an aesthetic point of view, the Aromamizer Lite V1.5 retains the classic lines that distinguish all its older brothers, aesthetically makes itself appreciated, even if we cannot consider it the adone of the atomizers. Appreciable some technical solutions such as the knurled finishes of the top cap and the ring at the bottom that holds the deck, which produce an aesthetic result still worthy of note; the same can be said for the protruding ring nut of the air control which guarantees, even when using the bubble glass, a good continuity in the atomizer lines.

FEATURES

The Aromamizer Lite V1.5 has a diameter of 23mm, is 59mm high (pin included) in MTL configuration and 58.4mm in DL version; the weight is just over 60 gr. The pieces that make up the atomizer are ten, three more than the previous version: the drip tip, the 4mm chimney adaptor, the top cap, the refill ring with the upper part of the chimney, the tank glass, the central body of the atom with the vaporization chamber, two peek air inserts to reduce the airflow, the deck and the final sealing ring of the deck. This is a typical configuration for all Aromamizers, inside which the presence of the removable deck stands out which allows you to rebuild a new coil without having to completely disassemble the whole atomizer.

The removable deck is a postless single coil designed for coil with a diameter of 2.5-3 mm and essentially for a flavor chasing vape. The big news of this version 1.5 is the presence of two elements (chimney adaptor and air inserts) which, together with the MTL drip tip supplied, manage to transform the atomizer into a true MTL device. If the Aromamizer Lite, as we told you in the specific review, was not able to allow a satisfying MTL vape, the Lite V1.5 with its additional accessories does well in this aim.

COILING, WICKING AND FILLING

The Aromamizer Lite is an RTA for advanced users. The vaper with a long-term experience and accustomed with rebuildable systems, will not find particularly complex the operations of rebuilding and insertion of cotton in the coil. However some precautions are necessary for this atom, much more than with other RTA systems. First of all, the length of the coil legs is important; the manufacturer recommends 4,5 mm long legs, but from our tests we can suggest you to get to 5 mm. In this sense it may be useful to obtain a specific tool for cutting the legs of the coils, unfortunately not supplied. The insertion of the cotton does not require particular precautions, but it is important to pay attention with the length of its mustache, which must rest gently on the bottom of the deck, in correspondence of the liquid inlet holes. It is very important that the cotton does not act as a stopper for these holes, thus completely blocking the passage of the e-liquid.

The e-liquid refill, on the other hand, is extremely easy thanks to the presence of two enormous slots that allow the tank to be filled with any type of bottle and beak.

PERFORMANCES AND FLAVOUR

We tested the Aromamizer Lite V1.5 obviously in the MTL configuration, therefore inserting the chimney adaptor and the two air inserts in correspondence with the air inlet slots. Like the whole Aromamizer series, even this latest version of Aromamizer has not disappointed us, providing aromatic performances worthy of the name it bears. The MTL vape of this atom is satisfactory, moderately contrasted, with a good hit and slightly airy. There are two possible combinations of air: 2 open 1mm holes or 4 open holes. It is also possible to vape with all airflow holes closed as the adjustment ring still offers a minimum air passage. The draw is linear, fluid and somewhat silent even if it never manages to be particularly closed and contrasted, with any setting you use it. Ultimately the Aromamizer Lite V1.5 is an airy MTL atomizer.

We really liked its versatility which guarantees its use with different types of e-liquids, but if we want to be picky, we feel like saying that, due to its characteristics and its innate ability to “unpack”, offering a wide and dilated aromatic range, we consider it more suitable for complex creamy e-liquids, for rather articulated fruity recipes and for flavored tobaccos.

TO CONCLUDE

The upgrades that Steam Crave has brought on the Aromamizer Lite, have been effective in transforming a product specifically indicated for flavor chasing, into one more mouth to lung oriented. Although this atomizer is not ideal for the purist vaper of a closed and contrasted MTL vape, it must be said that it is still a system capable of offering unquestionably high end level performance. Steam Crave always remains a point of reference for high performance products at more competitive prices than ever.
